Cruisin the Coolstores August 2008
It's dark, it's August, it's the middle of winter and we're supposed to be huddled around a fire watching TV at home. Not good enough for chrome bumper fans! No TV for them, with just on 100 cars cruisin' in, many of them fresh out of the garage. One '32 Ford Street Rod was even registered earlier in the day! The clear skies definitely helped. We did have TV of sorts playing on the big screen inside the Peninsula Lounge, running our new 2007 Events DVD. It sold out pretty quickly once people started spotting their cars on the screen! Along with the BBQ and just about everything else for sale. Many Cruisers took advantage at the Cruise Night to renew their subscription for the coming year and kept the LGC gals busy. Sabe bought along a small sample of the great range of models he has available at his store in Frankston, and promised a bigger and better display at future events. At 7:30pm like clockwork, the crowd quickly filed into the Sunset Lounge for the entrant's door prize draw. As usual the slab went off the table first! It always does! The cars then started drifting off home after an all too brief winter outing. If 100 cars came out in the middle of winter, come on summer! Here's some photos from our intrepid photographer, Graeme.
Thanks for coming along and making another fun night out with our favourite cars.
