Cruisin the Coolstores May 2008

The weather gods may have smiled on the Coolstore Cruise over the last few months, but they were frowning on the 1st Tuesday in May! Remember rain? Well it rained across the south eastern suburbs at around 4:00pm and as a result we had only one street rod venture out! But if early Falcons is your passion, every body style made cruised in, There was a nice Squire Wagon, a very trick “improved” ute, as well as sedans and coupes. It seemed that cars fitted with windows & heaters were popular. And just to tease us some more, the rain disappeared, the sky cleared up, the wind dissipated, the temperature was pleasant and for those, that did the Cruise night was in full swing.
The Pink Slips were hosting a Bling Party inside and this seemed to get people coming along, even if it was in the daily driver. The BBQ was pretty much sold out, the crowd seemed as big as usual and the door prizes disappeared off the table at 7:30pm as per normal. So, the threat of rain may have kept a few cars tucked away at home, but the cruise night was in full swing. See you next month.
