Peninsula Cruise Night - February 2016
For the first night in nearly 12 months, the weather forecast did not have any mention of showers or rain! And out came the topless cars. Sports cars, convertibles, street rod roadsters & cabriolets, even Europe was represented with a topless Karmann Gia and an Alfa. Lots of makes and models, Mustangs, GTO’s, Corvettes, Cobras, Falcons, all enjoying the opportunity to cruise on a warm dry evening. There were also plenty of cars with roof’s and windows of course to check out, many making their first appearance at our cruise night.
The development works at the Homemaker Centre has commenced reducing the spaces available to host the event but we still managed to find spaces for around 250 cars without causing too much delay getting everyone through the entry and into a space. We appreciated the cooperation we received from all the car owners who worked with us as we found them a spot to park. From then on it was back to a classic cruise night. Lots of great cars to check out, something to eat & drink and of course catching up with fellow enthusiasts. It was soon 7pm and time to find winners in the night’s prize draws. Wayne picked up the $100 Cruiser draw and the 3 ACDelco/Meguiar’s prize packs from the gate raffle quickly found new homes.
Another good get together then wrapped up until we get to do it all again next month.
Reminder to all the LGC Cruisers that next month we'll be drawing winners in the annual Grand Prize Pool valued at over $4000. If your present when your Cruiser # comes out of the barrel you'll have the right to pick a prize ahead of any winner not there even if their number is drawn ahead of yours. Definitely worth being at next months draw.
