Ocean Cruise to Eden 2018

We encouraged 62 people to sign on to our 4-night ocean cruise on P&O’s Pacific Jewell, among them a good number of first-time ocean cruisers. Many chose to use the coach we’d chartered with others finding their own way to Port Melbourne.

A fun filled 4 days it was. Good weather and smooth cruising conditions made for a comfortable ride. There were many late nights to catch all the live entertainment with bands, comedy and musical shows in the theatre. Of course, there was lots of eating and beverage refreshment required as well!

Peter & Heather Liston made the official cruise events list hosting a Rock & Roll Dance class. It was so popular they got to do again the following day.

Our one day on land was at Eden and for those of us that had never been there before it was a rewarding place to visit. Those that had been previously just had to make do with the fresh seafood, oysters and mussels for lunch.

A big thank you to Kerin Duyvestyn [ably backed up by Bill] for organizing this cruise for us all to enjoy so much. There’s already talk of another similar short duration cruise for 2019.
