Melbourne Cup Carnival & Cruise Night - November 2018

Well the weather didn't help on Cup Day, we had a smaller turn up to the afternoon tea and cruise night than we had anticipated, but how do you plan for the weather that rolled through in the morning? Didn't stop those of us who did go having a terrific day out. The afternoon tea was delicious to say the least, the band were great and the company, excellent. We had a few starters for the Car Boot Sale and some $’s did change hands.

The clouds eventually parted by mid-afternoon and around 100 cars rolled in for the cruise night, owners happy that the morning’s torrential downpours were gone.

A couple of Cruiser draws and gate raffle prizes later and the day wrapped up. Next month is Santa Cruz, our biggest night of the year so don’t miss it. Great Christmas Tree charity raffle, kid’s face painting, trick balloons and of course a visit from Santa. Gate entry is $5 for all cars which includes a ticket in the Christmas Tree Raffle. LGC Cruisers collect their ‘free’ extra ticket when putting their names in the night’s Cruiser draw.
