Peninsula Cruise Night - October 2014
For our first ‘daylight saving’ cruise night, the weather man again couldn’t make up his mind [well we are next door to Melbourne!] yet again so threatened us with a cool/possible showers/might be windy [go figure!] evening. What actually happened was a fine, albeit cool but wind free evening which encouraged 150+ cars loaded up with owners, family members & friends to cruise in. The Rotary Club’s BBQ was up and cooking, the café was busy keeping the food and beverages supplied, so it was business as usual. Again, a great variety of cars on display, even a couple with their roof down just to prove that you can still ‘open top’ cruise even if the weather guy suggests you won’t be.
Cruiser draw was taken out by Nick who was very happy with his $100 note and Meguair’s products. Didn’t take too long to find 3 winners in our gate raffle. Happy winners took home some ACDelco & Liqui Moly products thanks to our sponsors. Thanks also to Gary from Chev’s Performance Centre in Carrum Downs for the $300 dyno tune voucher.
Hopefully the weather man will be kinder to us in November because it’s Melbourne Cup day and everyone wants a fine day to enjoy whatever type of horsepower you’re into.
