Peninsula Cruise Night - September 2010
After a wet and cold winter, the first week of spring turned on a clear cool evening for the September Cruise Night and after the flooding rains over the previous weekend, chrome bumper car enthusiasts were keen to cruise. While there's always plenty of American Muscle on show, it's great to see more local icons showing up each month. GT Falcons, Monaros, early Holdens, some 'improved' with V8's and a very nice early Falcon Ute that had also been 'Windsorized'. The C3 Corvettes seem to be getting better all the time as owners restore these great looking cars to former glory. Mix in some good looking street rods, a sports car or two and it took a while to check out the 150 plus cars that cruised in. Wayne picked up the nights LGC Cruiser prize, He'd only just recently joined and is now about 8 years in credit for his annual subs as a result of the win. After distributing some entrants lucky gate prizes and running the cafe out of roast beef rolls again, another cruise night quietly ended. See you again next month. |
