Cruisin the Coolstores May 2006

Another great night at the Coolstore. 50 plus cars, and many first time cruisers turned out for the May Cruise Night. Local band 'Two Phase' fired up inside in the Peninsula Lounge and entertained the crowd. We had advertised this as our last cruise night for the season, but at a recent team meeting, we decided to go ' all year round', so although we celebrated the ending of another cruisin' season, we will be back at the Coolstore in June to see how many hard core cruisers there are out there!
We were pleased to award Bruce Borlaise as our latest ACDelco 'Real Car Guy'. Bruce is a regular participant at our cruise nights, driving all the way from Wantirna.
He has made many significant contributions to the street rod/old car hobby. A former Vic. State Director of the ASRF, committee chair of the last Street Rod Nationals to be held in Victoria, and a founder of the Croydon Cruise Night, the model of our own night. We have a lot to thank Bruce for and it was a pleasure to be able to give him the recognition he deserves. So thanks Bruce for all you have done so far (we're sure there's more left in the tank) for our favorite hobby.
