 23-25 Rod Run hosted by Tornadoes R&CC. This year’s rod run is being based in Timaru area and will be a laid back weekend.  23 Thirty-First National Mustang Convention/Full Throttle Weekend – Saturday only. Venue: Telstra Clear Pacific Events Centre, Great South Road, from 9am - 8pm. The Auckland Mustang Owners Club in partnership with Manukau City Council will be hosting the 31st Annual Mustang Convention in Auckland and the Mustang Car Show will be a key part of Full Throttle – Manukau’s Labour Weekend of Wheels, with a huge range of cars on show and in action – all for free. The Mustang Car Show will play a starring role on the Saturday which will have a full day of entertainment and demonstrations, and tens of millions of dollars worth of vehicles in action and on show. This is the day for vintage and classic vehicle enthusiasts to see a range on machines on show.  12-14 Whitestone Rodders & Restorers’ 35th Anniversary in Oamaru. The weekend will kick off with a get-together and registration at the clubrooms on Friday evening with old videos, photo albums and supper. Saturday's run will head south from Oamaru with a lunch at Moeraki and returning to Oamaru. Saturday night is a dinner with a buffet meal, live music and "just a wee few" formalities.  21 Stragglers Cambridge Charity Show at the Lake Te Koutu Domain, Cambridge. The format which has worked so well for the club in the past will largely be followed again at this year’s event; bands, food, fun for all the family, no trade areas, and heaps of fabulous cars and motorcycles. The principal charity to benefit from the show this year is to be the Little People New Zealand (LPNZ)  Group. Other local groups which focus on children’s' needs will also receive assistance from the clubs' fund-raising efforts. Past shows have featured associated displays of special-interest machinery such as American fire trucks or the drag/ski boats which were on show last year. The boats will be back again in November along with an additional display of vintage midget racecars and TQs which the Stragglers Club hopes to attract to the event this year. Owners of these vintage speedway cars are encouraged to bring them along to the show. Stragglers Rod & Kustom Club has arranged for this years' event to be sanctioned by NZHRA.  27 All American Day hosted by Southland Street Machines. Cruise on Friday night leaving Hall's Transport yard lower Spey St Invercargill at 7.30 pm for a tour around the city then back for a quite "cup of cocoa" at the Appleby Tavern. Saturday is the display at the Ascot Park Race Course , Racecourse Rd from 9 till 3 with all American modes of transport welcome. 

  27 Second annual Brook St Industrial Park Open Day and Charity Car Show. From 9am till 1pm. This year it’s Elite Auto painters, Fraser Cove Automotive, Tint A Car, Savil Sport Trailers & Seat Belt Shop involved. Last was very successful with 95 cars on display which included hot rods, drag cars, muscle cars, pre 

‘65 circuit cars and speedway cars. All the shops involved will be open to see what we are all about, there will be a free BBQ as well as kid’s entertainment and refreshments.  28 Mid Canterbury Dirt Challenge at Ashburton Speedway.  Come cruise in the clay! Hot rods and hot action. Two cars on track at a time and we’ll race these in a shootout format. All cars to register their intention to attend. Day licenses $25 per driver. Gate entry fee $5 per person, everyone who races will get free entry. (the $5 will be deducted off day license) Also we’ll have vintage speedway cars on the track throughout the day! Isaac Performance Vehicles will be holding their annual open day from 9am to 4:30pm, this year held in conjunction with a full open day at the Taupo Motorsport and Business Park. IPV activities include:   IPV Dyna Pack dyno-tuning demonstrations, IPV Holden/GM Launch, vehicle and new product displays, sausage sizzle, giveaways including hot laps, The Rock girls, open day specials in the IPV showroom. December 26-30 2010 Greymouth Rodders’ Rod Run. Sunday 26: The run starts with registration at the Scout Hall in High Street and a get-together at night . Monday 27: Public car display while the rodders get either a Tavern Trek for those who want that option OR a scenic bus cruise, both with a lunch provided. Tuesday 28th: Scenic cruise south this year to the Hokitika Gorge with a lunch provided. The drive continues on around the lake then make your way back to Greymouth at your own leisure. Cabaret at the Karoro Learning Centre that evening from 8 ‘til late with supper and entertainment provided. Wednesday 29th: Farewells and brunch (provided ) at the Honey Cafe at Kumara Junction. Entries will be in the post soon so keep an eye out for them.

December 31-1 Jan 2010 National Roadster Show, Whangamata Memorial Hall. NZ’s very best hot rod roadsters on display. Adults $5, school kids $2 and under 5s are free.
