Euroa 2015
Our weekend cruise departed from ‘Bunker Hill’ on the Hume Hwy on Saturday morning for the short cruise to Shepparton. First stop was the Motor Museum Complex to inspect the great display of classic cars. From award winning show cars to historical vehicles. Lots of high-quality variety. After lunch, with the AFL Grand Final scheduled for the afternoon it was time to settle in at the Big 4 Park to watch the Hawks win another flag. Saturday night dinner was enjoyed by all at the Shepparton Club. It was then back to the Big 4 for a Trivia contest hosted by Simon & Shelley. This woke up the grey matter after dinner! Thanks, Simon & Shelley. Great fun.
On Sunday, it was an early start for the short cruise over to Euroa for the biggest annual event on the town’s calendar, the Australian National Show & Shine. We arrived to discover we weren’t that early and there were close to 600 cars already parked in the gardens either side of Seven Creek. This picturesque park is within walking distance to the town’s centre.
We were lucky to have a reservation for lunch at the Seven Creeks Hotel located opposite the car show and enjoyed a sit-down meal, something of a luxury at events this big we attend. Perfect weather, a convoy of chrome bumpers to cruise with, good food, good fun, good friends and a great car show to finish added up to be a very enjoyable weekend. Our thanks to our cruise leaders Graeme & Cheryl for putting this cruise together. Hope you can make our next one. Here are some photos taken through Graeme’s trusty camera.
