Peninsula Cruise Night - March 2013
March is a big night for subscribers to our LGC Cruisers program with over $2500 worth of prizes on offer in the annual grand prize draw. Add the prizes for the night’s cruise entrant’s gate raffle and we had $3000 worth of products and services to share.
The warm weather helped encourage car owners to cruise to the Homemaker centre with over 300 cars cruisin’ in. By 6pm the car park was filling fast.
The Mt Martha Rotary Club had their first sausage sizzle at one of our events and were kept busy right up to presentation time.
First item at presentations was the drawing of three grand prizes.
First name out was Helen from Mt Martha, Cruiser # 701. She was very excited when her name was called. She opted to for the $800 voucher from the Radiator Workshop for A/C components from the prize pool.
Next name out was Cruiser #87 belonging to John from Eltham. John wasn’t present but has since selected the $1000 voucher from Hoppers Stoppers in Hoppers Crossing. Third out was Cruiser # 240, Rob from Frankston who collects the $720 voucher for soda blasting from EnviroBlast. Congratulations to our winners and thanks to the generous sponsors for making these prizes available.
Next up was the gate raffle and we soon found winners for the ACDelco car care packs, the $100 service voucher form Col Warren Automotive in Seaford and the $300 voucher for a dyno tune from Chevs Performance centre in Carrum Downs.
Earlier in the night we took delivery of a Cardiac Emergency Defibrillator arranged through the Heartstart Foundation. This potential life saving piece of equipment will be available in an emergency at all future LGC events.
The warm night with no wind was made for a relaxing social get-together. If only Melbourne weather was this kind on the 1st Tuesday of every month!
Last daylight saving cruise night next April is also Easter Tuesday. Hope to see you there.
