The local police have instructed the organisers of the event that they didn't want a large influx of cars or people due to thier resources be stretched to the max so we've been asked to stay away
If you have posted any details on other websites or forums etc please inform them of the police decision to cancel the cruise.

In the wake of the recent tragedy I'm calling on ALL Victorian Hot Rod, Kustom and Chrome bumper car enthusiasts to join forces as ONE and make this the BIGGEST cruise that Victoria has ever seen!
There has been an organised a charity fund raising car show at the Kilmore Football and Recreation Ground on Saturday, 28 February and I've been asked if I could help by arranging a cruise to the event …why, hell YES!
Entry will be in the form of a donation, so please give generously - perhaps take up a collection among your friends and neighbours and donate it all on the day. The Lions Club will be on hand along with 4 bands, a jumping castle, pony rides, face painting and food stalls. To avoid standing in queues, you're welcome to pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the day with your family and friends.

My part of the cruise will start at the BP servo corner of Hall Road and Dandenong- Hastings Road, Cranbourne at 10am sharp. We'll follow the Monash Freeway to the city then travel over the Bolte Bridge and onto the Tulla Freeway then out on to the Western Ring Road following it to the Hume Highway.
You can join the cruise by either meeting at the start or waiting in a safe place by the freeway until the cruise passes and tag on Texas Ranger style. Rodders north of the city should gather at Kalkallo and wait for the cruise to pass and then join in the convoy to Kilmore.
The guys from Rich River Hot Rod and Kustom Club are organizing a cruise down from Echuca and will have meeting points in both Bendigo and Heathcote. To find out more call Rod Munroe on 03 5480 6693.
I'm hoping that a cruise from Geelong and another cruise from Ballarat will also be organised on the day... more on this as details come to hand.
