Cruise Night - August 2009
Well I guess Melbourne desperately needs rain and we finally had a wet start to the August Peninsula cruise night.
With the skies darkening mid afternoon and opening up around 4pm, it was always going to be a cruise night for the truly dedicated. In fact it was so wet at 5pm that we decided not to man the gate or set up our usual ‘camp’ but elected to spend time catching up with the owners of the 30 or so cars that cruised along anyway. The rain eased off and the sky cleared up to make the rest of the night very pleasant with the hot food from the Sober Mule Café enjoyed by many. With no raffle, Bill D passed out some items supplied by our sponsors ACDelco, so hopefully you picked up something useful to take home. The wiper blades were a very appropriate item if you grabbed some. Thanks again to ACDelco for the entrant’s prizes. It was an early finish but every one seemed to enjoy the chance to get their car out even if for a short time.
Here’s a few photos from Graeme to prove again winter cruisin, even if wet, can still be fun.
